Project: Intergenerationational/Communites for All Ages Initiative
To support the Intergenerational Initiative and Communities for All Ages (CFAA), a partnership with United Way, designed to encourage intergenerational approaches to strengthen Westchester neighborhoods and communities. United Way contributes a 100 percent match and in-kind staff time.
Currently funded Communities for All Ages (CFAA) groups are:
Yonkers Community for All Ages
(Family Service Society of Yonkers)
To enhance the health of Yonkers residents, by reducing obesity, increasing access to fresh nutritious food, creating exercise opportunities, and improving education about health and wellness.
Peekskill Community for All Ages
(The Preservation Company)
To make Peekskill a great place for people of all ages to learn, through high quality education especially for 8th grade students, a range of lifelong-learning opportunities, and leadership courses.
Port Chester Community for All Ages
(Council of Community Services)
To create a more welcoming community in which residents of all ages and backgrounds feel connected to the community and each other.
New Rochelle Community for All Ages
(New Rochelle Council of Community Services)
To foster educational and lifelong earrning throughout New Rochelle through the "Eager to Teach, Eager to Learn, Eager to Grow" initiative.
